Please join us in congratulating Professor Bernhard Wicht, the recipient of the 2025 Wiley-IEEE Press Professional Book Award for his book, "Design of Power Management Integrated Circuits."
The Wiley-IEEE Press Professional Book Award honors exemplary works that explore cutting-edge ideas relevant to IEEE fields, highlighting their significance and impact. This award selects from more than 200 book publications released over the past three years.
Spanning nearly 500 pages, Professor Wicht's book thoroughly addresses recent developments in power management integrated circuit (PMIC) design, a rapidly growing field within microelectronics. It provides an in-depth exploration of foundational principles and the latest innovations in PMICs, filling a crucial gap for professionals and students eager to advance solutions for high-performance computing, smartphones, tablets, mobility, and renewable energy. A key strength of the book is its inclusion of real-world examples, case studies, and exercises, which enhance understanding of complex concepts and offer valuable guidance for electronics engineers.
Professor Wicht is the head of the Mixed-Signal IC Design Lab at the Institute of Microelectronic Systems (IMS) of our faculty. He brings extensive experience from both industry and academia, along with notable contributions as an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer and his service on the ISSCC Technical Program Committee.
